Robots are programmable machines capable of doing far more than an average human. As technology is steadily improving, robots have been making more appearances in our lives in various ways. People have even expressed fear over the concern that robots may take over our jobs one day. One field that robots have specifically been a significant help to is the medical field. The robots provide more precision, flexibility and control than what is usually possible with traditional methods. An example of a robot executing this superhuman precision is the ARTAS® Robotic Hair Transplant System. Using a conventional approach to implant hair follicles would leave a big scar on one's head, but with ARTAS®, there is little to no scarring involved. This system and many more provide submillimeter accuracy. From robots that draw out blood, to ones that conduct surgeries, there are many medical robots working to improve medical/surgical experiences.
